What this site collects
Robinquartz has no accounts, takes no payments and has no forms. We do not ask you for your name or address. If you write to us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message, and we use it only to answer you and to correct the guide.
Like any website, our hosting and delivery providers process technical request data (your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to serve pages and keep the site secure. We do not use this data to identify you.
Cookies and the Google Ads tag
The site uses the Google Ads tag to measure our advertising. The tag is loaded as soon as a page opens, before you make any choice, and Google may then set cookies (such as _gcl_) and receive information about your visit, including your IP address and the pages you view. We use it for advertising measurement only.
You can switch it off. A banner at the bottom of the page offers Decline; if you press it, the tag is no longer loaded, the Google cookies this site set are removed and the page reloads without it. Accept keeps the tag on and hides the banner. Your choice is stored in your own browser (local storage, key robinquartz_consent) so that we do not ask again, and you can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you have declined, the tag is not loaded on later visits either. Google’s own privacy policy applies to the data it receives.
Fonts, photographs and maps
The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s font servers when a page opens; Google receives your IP address in that request, and declining the advertising tag does not stop it. Hotel photographs on the hotel pages are loaded from photos.hotelbeds.com, so your browser contacts Hotelbeds’ servers when you view them. The map on a hotel page is loaded from Google Maps only after you click “Load map”; until then there is no request to Google for it.
Hotel information
The hotel catalogue contains business information supplied by Hotelbeds (names, addresses, telephone numbers, email and web addresses of hotels, descriptions and photographs). It is information about businesses, not about visitors to this site. This site does not take bookings; when you contact a hotel, its own privacy policy applies.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers named above, with our hosting and email providers when needed to run the site, and with authorities where the law requires it. Links to museum websites, train operators and hotels lead to services with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of the data we hold about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time (see “Cookie settings”). Write to the address above and we will answer. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
